Olga holds a Masters of Counseling from Oakland University. Acquiring the skills to provoke positive adjustments are vital in the fast pace, ever changing and growing world that we live in, which is just one of the many reasons why counseling is so important today. As a counselor, I strive provide people with the tools they need to improve their quality of life. Counselors are trained professionals that use their researched knowledge base to supply people with a structured setting that promotes lasting intrapersonal understanding and growth. I do this by creating a safe, judgment free, and nurturing environment that enables my clients to freely open up and explore their past and present. I strive to provide people with a setting in which they can feel free to explore their deepest, strongest emotions, and then learn the skills they need to move forward. I work together in collaboration with my clients to help them achieve their goals. My sessions are focused on utilizing my clients’ strengths, viewing problems from different perspectives, and finding alternate and unique solutions to problems. I believe in using an integrative approach to therapy, using techniques from several different theoretical approaches, such as CBT, Reality, Solution-Focused, and Person-Centered, to create a unique and personalized treatment plan for each individual. I work with adults to help them: reduce their stress level, learn to manage anxiety, effectively cope with grief, overcome dangerous addictions, among many other psychological struggles that generate harmful effects on the mind and body.
